Etamsylate
China [CN] Etamsylate (CAS: 2624-44-4, EINECS: 220-090-7), also known as 2,5-Dihydroxybenzenesulfonic acid diethylamine salt, is a white to pale red solid with the molecular formula C₁₀H₁₇NO₅S and a molecular weight of 263.31. It melts at 125°C, featuring high solubility in water, methanol and anhydrous ethanol while nearly insoluble in dichloromethane. This raw material exhibits hygroscopicity, so it requires sealed storage in a dark, inert environment at room temperature. Widely recognized as haemostatic agent Etamsylate, it has multiple international aliases including Altodor, E141 and Eselin, suitable for pharmaceutical standard sample preparation and bulk API manufacturing with stable physical and chemical properties under proper preservation.
