Dihydropyridine
China [CN] Diethyl 1,4-dihydro-2,6-dimethyl-3,5-pyridinedicarboxylate, commonly known as Diludine, has CAS No. 1149-23-1 and EINECS No. 214-561-6, with molecular formula C₁₃H₁₉NO₄ and molecular weight of 253.29. It is a pale yellow solid with melting point ranging from 178 to 183°C, predicted boiling point of 351.8±42.0°C and estimated density 1.104±0.06 g/cm³. The product is readily soluble in various organic solvents, featuring a maximum absorption wavelength of 374 nm in ethanol and predicted pKa value of 3.50±0.70. For proper preservation, it must be sealed and stored in a dry, dark environment at room temperature. This dihydropyridine derivative serves as a vital antioxidant feed additive, pharmaceutical raw material, laboratory standard reference substance and fine chemical intermediate widely used in animal nutrition and organic synthesis research.
