Agomelatine
China [CN] Agomelatine, also known by code S20098 with CAS No. 138112-76-2, is a white to off-white powder API raw material with molecular formula C15H17NO2 and molecular weight 243.3. Its physical properties include a melting point of 107–109°C, predicted boiling point at 478.8±28.0°C and density of 1.109±0.06 g/cm³. It displays excellent solubility in DMSO (>50 mg/mL) and requires cold storage at 2–8°C for stability. As a competitive antagonist of 5-HT2C receptors and a novel antidepressant agent, this product is supplied in reagent grade with complete supporting documents including MSDS, synthesis routes, in vitro & in vivo research data, patent profiles and biotarget information.
