According to whether the components in the charging system are on the vehicle, they can be divided into two categories: off board charging components and on-board charging components.
Off board charging unit
1. Portable charging cable and its charging head (primary AC charging)
2. Charging pile with charging cable (two-stage AC charging)
3. Charging plug that can be plugged into the vehicle charging interface
The charging methods are DC charging and AC charging. The AC charging type is divided into Level I, Level II and Level III, while the DC charging type is fast charging. They are divided into rated voltage and current 220V and DC 380V. The current increases with the increase of grade. The DC charging current can be 300A-500A.
The charging voltage and current during DC charging are independent of the vehicle charger and are directly controlled by the charging pile. Compared with AC charging, DC charging requires additional communication between the vehicle and the charging pile.
The damage to the power battery caused by rapid charging is inevitable, so most of the rapid charging at this stage adopts pulse type, that is to reduce the negative impact of large current on the power battery through repeated discharge and charging during the charging process.
