Detailed Description

Our vertical slurry pump is a heavy-duty vertical centrifugal pump designed for abrasive applications, combining the efficiency of a vertical pump centrifugal system with rugged construction for long-lasting performance.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS:

Usage of versatile wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant materials allows INDUX® VC Series slurry pumps to service in various industries, help to reduce operation cost and down time. Applicable especially in areas such as cleanup, ash removal, FGD, coal washing and etc.

1. Cleanup Operations
In mining plants, power stations, and industrial workshops, sump pumps are essential for removing accumulated slurry, dirty water, and industrial waste from collection pits, tanks, or sumps. These pumps efficiently drain excess water and slurry to maintain a clean, safe, and operational workspace, even under continuous or severe duty conditions.

2. Ash Removal
In thermal power plants, wet ash handling systems generate a large amount of slurry consisting of fly ash and bottom ash mixed with water. Heavy Duty Sump Pumps are used to transport this abrasive ash slurry from collection sumps to disposal areas or ash ponds. Their high wear resistance and solids-handling capacity make them ideal for this harsh, erosive application.

3. Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) Systems
FGD systems in coal-fired power plants remove sulfur dioxide (SO₂) from exhaust gases using limestone slurry. The process produces gypsum slurry as a byproduct. Heavy Duty Sump Pumps play a key role in circulating, transferring, and draining this highly corrosive, abrasive slurry within the system. Pumps for FGD require both excellent corrosion and erosion resistance, which these sump pumps provide.
