Description of 3-Isocyanatopropyltrimethoxysilane

CFS-006, 3-Isocyanatopropyltrimethoxysilane is a commercial silane with isocyanate functionality. It owns the bi-functionality of a reactive isocyanate group and a hydrolysable alkoxy group. The presence of the trimethoxy group makes CFS-006 to hydrolyze rapidly and bond with inorganic materials tightly. Alkoxy groups of isocyanate silanes can hydrolyze to form a reactive silanol group and offer superior adhesion to a wide range of inorganic substrates. CFS-006, 3-Isocyanatopropyltrimethoxysilane can easily react with active hydrogen in organic polymers. CFS-006 with high functionality can be used as the equivalent of Wacker GENIOSIL GF 40 or Momentive Silquest A-Link 35.

Application of 3-Isocyanatopropyltrimethoxysilane

CFS-006 can be used to promote adhesion and enhance fillers dispersion in coating and sealants industries.CFS-006 can be used to improve mechanical and chemical properties of composites, by acting as a coupling agent and a surface modifier of organic and inorganic materials.CFS-006 can be used as a resin modifier in silane-terminated polymers (MS polymers) and silyl modified polyurethane polymers (SPUR polymers).CFS-006 can be used as a crosslinker and a tackifier of RTV and enhance the bonding between rubber and substrates.

Storage of 3-Isocyanatopropyltrimethoxysilane
