Detailed Description
3U PDC bits broken rocks by shearing function, which is more efficient than the crushing of rocks by cone bits and the plow cutting and grinding of rocks by diamond impregnated bit. Bits that are produced by using PDC with a diameter of 19mm have a better economic efficiency for high drilling speed and high footage. 3U PDC is composed of a layer of polycrystalline diamond and cemented carbide substrate. 3U PDC is synthesized through agglomeration of diamond micropowder and cemented carbide under the condition of ultrahigh pressure and high temperature_60, 000 atmospheric pressure. The microscopic characteristics of C-C bond among the diamond grains in the polycrystalline diamond layer, which allows the high strength, high hardness and high wearing property of diamond layer as well as good self-sharpening property. New cutting surfaces will appear during the course of abrasion, which keeps effective cutting of rocks. Tooth structure combination between polycrystalline diamond layer and cemented carbide makes the combination between two layers more solid and allows more impact resistance of the whole PDC. Conventional sizes are mainly supplied, but special sizes are also available according to the clients' requirements.
