Shenzhen Esun New Material Co., Ltd, a subsidiary company of Shenzhen BrightChina Industrial Co., Ltd, engages in evelopment, manufacturing and marketing of chemicals and new materials and dedicates in new synthesis technology of polylactide(PLA) and polycaprolactone(PCL) and industrialization of such biodegradale materials. The company received the 4th Excellent Award for New Records of Enterprises in Shenzhen in 2005.
Polylactide and Polycaprolactone are all biodegradable polymers, can be widely applied as biomedical material, biofibre, biodegradable material and new type of plastic additive. To promote the industrialization of PLA and PCL, the company has jointly organized the “PKU-HKUST Shenzhen-Hongkong Institute – BrightChina Biological Macromolecular Material R&D Center” and “Wuhan University – BrightChina Biological Macromolecular Material R&D Center”. The successful Microwave synthesis technology of PLA and PCL lead the way of the world, has the characteristics of energy saving and environment protection. Now the company has established the first 500t/a PCL production line, and a 500t/a PLA microwave synthesis line and a 1000t/a modified biodegradable materials line are under construction. The microwave sythesis technology of PLA received patent in 2004, the patent no. is ZL01114322.3. The PCL technology received patent in 2007, the patent no. is ZL10018386.4.
