Types of TPE: According to the ISO 18064 standard, there are six main categories, namely TPS (TPE-s), TPO (TPE-o), TPV (TPE-v or TPV), TPU (TPU), TPC (TPE-E) ), TPA (TPE-A)

Advantages of TPE:

1. TPE has the physical and mechanical properties of vulcanized rubber and the processing properties of soft plastics

2. It is an environmentally friendly material and can be recycled

3. The performance is relatively stable, with good temperature resistance and aging resistance

5. Good flexibility

Having said so many advantages, I also talk about the defects of TPE materials. Although TPE has both the characteristics of rubber and plastic, its heat resistance is not as good as rubber. As the temperature increases, the heat resistance decreases a bit. , the applicable temperature range is limited. At the same time, the price is higher than that of ordinary rubber, but the durability is worse than that of ordinary rubber, but in general, TPE is still widely used as a sheath material for EV charging cables, and it also meets the UL62 certification standard.
