Product Details

Sesamin supplement is a supplement to the lignan compounds found in sesame seeds. Sesamin supplement has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. It may be an estrogen receptor modulator and fat burner (if it is aimed at people with movement disorders or those who want to lose weight) . Sesamin supplement can inhibit an enzyme called delta-5-desaturase (Δ5-desaturase), which is the rate-limiting enzyme in fatty acid metabolism. Oral sesamin supplement is more effective, it can enhance the metabolism of gamma-tocopherol and gamma-tocotrienol by preventing their degradation. Sesamin supplement is an inexpensive solution, or some way to "cut" vitamin E. Sesamin supplement has some other effects, including estrogen receptor regulation, liver fat burning and activation of antioxidant response elements.

Sesamin is found in the seeds or seed oil of plant sesame. It's a sesame extract.

DL-type: crystal (ethanol), melting point 125-126 °C.

It is soluble in chloroform, benzene, acetic acid and acetone, slightly soluble in ether and petroleum ether. It is almost insoluble in water, alkaline solutions and hydrochloric acid.

Function and usage:

1. Sesamin has a variety of biological functions, including reducing serum and liver cholesterol levels, and reducing serum triglycerides by increasing liver fatty acid oxidation.

2. Sesamin can increase the level of γ-tocopherol, reduce the production of endotoxin-induced interleukin (IL) -1β, prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) and thromboxane B2, and increase the production of IL-6 (12), thus inhibiting endotoxin-mediated shock.

3. Sesamin has the inhibitory effect on 7,12-dimethylbenzo [a] anthracene-induced breast cancer. It can inhibit the growth of a variety of tumor cells through different mechanisms. Therefore, sesamin is believed to prevent cancers and other chronic diseases.
