Detailed Description

Tired of closing the pool as soon as the weather gets colder? Would you like to extend your swimming season by more than a few weeks? A heat pump is a great way to heat water quickly so you can enjoy your pool months after the swimming season is over! Perfect for inground swimming pools in mild and humid climates, heat pumps are designed to extend your swimming season into early spring and late autumn by efficiently heating the water to a comfortable swimming temperature.

How does the heat pump work?

The heat pump works by collecting hot air from around the pool, compressing and heating it, and then using this hot air to heat the pool. Buying a heat pump can provide you with months of warm water even in cold weather, while virtually eliminating operating costs and helping you and your family spend more time in the pool than ever before!

Sunrain swimming pool heat pump is a smart and reliable solution to heat the pool and spa. With most of the energy absorbed from the air, Sunrain pool heat pumps can heat the pool and spa all year round with much less cost. Running at low cost and without CO2 discharging, people can enjoy swimming or spa at pleasant water temperatures all over the year.

Why choose a heat pump?

A heat pump is an efficient and useful way to heat your swimming pool. These types of heaters first draw in hot air from around the pump. This air is then compressed and heated until the pool water flows through the compressor, heating the water before it is returned to the pool. All of Leslie's heat pumps are cost-effective and do not use any fossil fuels, saving you money and protecting your family and the environment. Heat pumps are low cost to run, very easy to use, and require little maintenance.

Heat pumps are designed to raise the temperature of your swimming pool to the ideal swimming range, between 78 and 82 degrees Fahrenheit. Because they work by drawing in air that is already warm, they work best in humid areas where the ambient temperature remains above 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Most heat pumps will work if the temperature falls below 60 degrees but will shut off automatically if the temperature reaches 45 - 50 degrees Fahrenheit. By automatically shutting off, heat pumps prevent damage that can occur when the air is too cold Pool owners in milder climates will consider using a heat pump to help extend your swimming season.

Because they do not use fossil fuels to heat the water, heat pumps are efficient and very economical to operate. Heat pumps are not suitable for all climates, but they are an excellent choice to help extend the season in areas where temperatures rarely fall below 60 degrees Fahrenheit (except in winter). Heat pumps also do not emit any emissions into the air, thus reducing your costs and providing an environmentally friendly solution to heating your pool.

Heating the water is vital to enjoying your pool and extending the swimming season, but without the use of a solar cover to keep the heat in your pool, much of the energy used to heat your pool will dissipate into the air. Using a solar cover and a heat pump can save you up to 50% of your energy costs to heat your pool. Combining a solar cover with a heat pump will heat your pool faster and keep it warm late into the night, and later into the swimming season.
