Description of 3-Isocyanatopropyltriethoxysilane

CFS-885, 3-Isocyanatopropyltriethoxysilane is a primary isocyanate functional silane with high functionalities. It combines the functionality of an isocyanate group and a triethoxy group. A reactive silanol group will be formed after hydrolysis with the presence of alkoxy groups. Owing to the triethoxy group, Co-Formula isocyanate silanes provide excellent adhesion to a variety of inorganic substrates, like metals and glass. Compared to other isocyanate silanes, CFS-885 can hydrolyze slowly and compositions will get high stability.CFS-885, 3-Isocyanatopropyltriethoxysilane can react with active hydrogen in organic polymers easily. CFS-885 with high functionality can be used as the equivalent of Momentive Silquest A-Link 25 or ShinEtsu KBM-9007.

Application of 3-Isocyanatopropyltriethoxysilane

CFS-885 can be used as a crosslinker and an adhesion promoter of RTV and enhance the bonding between organic rubber and inorganic substrates.CFS-885 can be used as an adhesion promoter and a coupling agent in paints and silicone sealants manufacturing, especially suitable for one-component moisture curable urethane system.CFS-885 can be used to improve chemical and physical performance of composite materials, acting as a surface modifier and a crosslinker of organic materials and inorganic substrates.CFS-885 can be applied for resin or polymers modification in silyl modified urethane polymers (known as SPUR polymers) and silane-terminated polymers (MS polymers).
