ANTIOXIDANT HONOX-323 is used in rosin, rosin ester, rosin resin, adhesive, petroleum oil and wax. It makes improvement in color bleaching and disproportionation catalyst.
1, Rosin or rosin resins such as pentaerythritol rosin ester, maleic acid resins, glycerol rosin ester: adding 0.2-0.3% 323 and 2-3 Gardner can be improved greatly.
2, Disproportionation of rosin: it is an efficient catalyst for the disproportionation of rosin. It converts instable conjugated double bond in the rosin molecule into stable conjugated double bond with an aromatic ring structure, which means to convert the abietic acid into dehydroabietic acid. The dosage in the process is 0.1-0.3% and optimum amount is 0.2%.
3, Anti-crystallization of rosin: Rosin is a non-crystalline transparent solid, but it tends to crystallize. Crystallization of rosin causes a reduction in rosin’s transparency and solubility, affecting its usage. Adding 0.2% 323 to the rosin and it can improve its anti-crystallization performance.
