Environmentally friendly new latex ink
Water based latex ink is environmentally-friendly because it is odorless and has very low VOC (Volatile organic compounds).
Able to use a six color plus white ink configuration along with an ink circulation system
The world’s first “White” latex ink has arrived. This white ink meets the diverse needs of a signage market because of its adaptability to a wide range of printing media including transparent PET, window decoration, shatterproof window film and so on. In addition, the machine comes with an ink circulation system,(MCT*), which prevents pigment sedimentation. This system provides stable ink-jetting and reduces the manual ink cartridge circulation. *MCT(Mimaki Circulation Technology)
Fast drying ink boosts productivity – Printed media is immediately sent to the next process –
Latex ink already dries fast on its own, but the three heaters (pre, print and post) and drying fans equipped on the printer ensure an even faster drying time.
Variable-size ink dots enhance the print image quality -The minimum drop size is 4 picoliter -
The newly-developed printhead enables a 4 picoliter minimum drop size. Using variable ink drop-size print mode, the printer is able to print a smooth gradation without a grainy appearance.
Lower ink curing temperature of -“60 degree C or under”-* increases media optionsMimaki amazingly accomplishes a low ink curing temperature of -“60 degree C”- or even lower.This means there are more media choices, including heat-sensitive materials.* Depending on media, ink curing temperature may need to be 70 degree C or higher.
A print speed of 18m²/h increases productivity
Higher print speed 18m²/h with four color mean higher productivity.
Ink eco-cases reduce waste
The JV400 printers utilize 600ml ink packs in re-useable eco-cases so there is no need to change small ink cartridges during ink replacement. These eco-case cartridges can be re-used so they don’t have to be recycled, which leads to better ecological and economical production. (White ink provided in 220ml ink cartridges)

1. Three ink layers print function
A three-layer print of color, white and color can be performed at one time. The underlay printing of a base layer of white ink helps reproduce the natural beauty of colors printed on transparent media. Window graphics can be printed with high precision and no multi-pass color registration shift.
2. Layout function as desired
Three ink layers or copied images are freely laid out if print conditions are the same. This function reduces the media waste by enabling an efficient layout.
3. Multi-profile, simultaneous printing function
Several profiles that match conditions can be simultaneously printed. This is effective for test output when the profile for a target image quality or color requires multiple “profile” test prints. Users can select the best profile after actually investigating the output.*To be supported by RasterLink6 program update.
