WHY HIGH FREQUENCY WELDING?
In this application, high frequency is AC at between 100 and 800 kHz. They recently replaced vacuum tube systems reducing dramatically the size of workshops and energy losses. Its main advantages are:They are about 80% more efficient, saving electricity and cooling water.Lower voltages used reduce electrolysis and corrosion of the heat affected zone. And they are safer for maintenance personnel.Its compact design saves more area and maintenance time. Fewer perishable parts means less downtime for maintenance.
