Generally speaking, the most commonly used gold separator is gravity separator. And the gold concentrator-jig separator is the first choice for gold concentration.
There are placer gold and rock gold in the gold ore. The former density is over 16t/m3 and this leads to a big density difference between gold and the impurities, so gravity separation can be the most efficient, most economical way to beneficiate alluvial gold. The following picture is the gold beneficiation size in Xinjiang, China.
For alluvial gold gravity extraction, there are a certain percentage of gravels, and a rotary screen or vibration screen will be needed to remove these gravels. Gold in placer gold is usually liberated from impurities, and the fine sand can be fed to the gold separator for enrichment directly.
With the development and research of gravity separation plants, chutes, jiggers, table concentrators and gold centrifugal separators have ever turned up, and jiggers prove to be the ideal gold extraction machine for the first rough separation to gain high grade gold concentrate with its high recovery rate while centrifugal separators and table concentrators work as secondary further gold extraction equipment.
