Detailed Description

Inconel 617 wire is comprised of nickel, chromium, cobalt and molybdenum with exceptional resistance to oxidation and variety of corrosion media and high temperature processing strength. The alloy wire is readily prepared and weldable. Inconel 617 wire shows exceptionally higher levels of creep rupture strength at the temperature of 1800°F or (980°C) and over. The alloy is preferably employed at the elevated temperatures. The blend of large strength and resistance to oxidation retains over 1800°For (980°C) temperature that makes Inconel 617 wire popular for designing the ducting, burning cans and transition liners in the spacecraft and gas turbines.
