Product Description Nickel 220 Wire is very similar to Nickel 205 wire, except with a chemical composition controlled specifically for application as cathodes in electronic tubes. Features of Nickel Wire: * Available in a variety of wire diameters, meeting strict tolerances * Resistant to all dry gases at room temperature * Relatively low electrical resistivity * Excellent resistance to corrosion in acid or alkaline conditions and corrosion resistance is better in de-aerated acid * Virtually immune to inter granular attack above 315ºC * In acid, alkaline and neutral salt solutions, nickel wire shows good resistance, but in oxidizing salt solutions, severe attack will occur. * Offered in a wide variety of packaging options, nickel wire can be purchased with special coating or finish - bright clean or grease coated wire. Applications of Nickel Wire: * Production of viscose rayon. * Widely used in electric apparatus and chemical machinery. * Manufacture of vinyl chloride monomer. * Used for making valves grid and inner components of vacuum valves. * Manufacturing and handling of sodium hydroxide, particularly at temperature above 300ºC. * Storage and distribution systems for phenol - immunity from any for of attack ensures absolute product purity.
