Detailed Description

White fused alumina is produced from high purity alumina in electric arc furnaces at temperatures over 2000℃ under carefully controlled conditions. which is followed by a slow solidification process and crushed into different grit sizes for different applications.

White fused alumina has a very high purity with Aluminium Oixde(Al₂O₃) content over 99%, low impurities(Na₂O less than 0.4%) , The high alumina content is ensured from high grade calcined alumina as raw material.

White fused alumina is also characterized by high hardness of mohs 9, the chemical stability at very high temperatures, great self-sharpening, superior acid and alkali resistance, and stable thermal performance.

Compared with Brown fused alumina, white fused alumina has a higher hardness , slightly lower toughness and better performance of self-sharpening, stronger grinding ability, better cutting and less heat emitting than brown fused alumina

Applications：

White fused alumina is widely used as raw material in many aspects like refractory, grinding, ceramic shapes, sandpaper, sanding belts, sandblasting media, metal preparation, laminates, coatings, lapping, polishing, grinding wheel, aerospace applications. metal&ceramic surface preparation and hundreds of other applications.

It is recommended for all kinds of abrasive tools. The character of less heat emitted during grinding process makes it suitable to grinding high carbon steel, high speed steel, stainless steel and thin-walled components, and it’s also used as loose grains for bonded and coated abrasives

White fused alumina is a high grade refractory material which has excellent performance in purity, chemical stability or advanced refractory applications. Application in refractory material such as castables, high alumina bricks, consistent castings, refractory bricks, refractory castables, pre-cast refractory shapes and other unshaped refractory products, ect.

White fused alumina’s also suitable for critical areas like precision blasting and vitrified abrasive where non-ferrous and non-silica grinding are required.

White fused alumina is suitable for special applications where contamination is an issue to be considered.
