Description: The main types of high-voltage cables include YJV, VV, YJLV, and VLV. YJV cable stands for cross-linked polyethylene insulated and PVC sheathed power cable (copper core). VV cable stands for polyvinyl chloride insulated and polyvinyl chloride. The following describes the characteristics of the cable sheath material selection.


EV cables use extruded PVC or XLPE as the inner insulation, covered with a tinned copper shield, and aluminum foil tape. The sheath is a highly tear-resistant silicone rubber.


Characteristics of the cable insulation:

Silicone rubber offers excellent flexibility, imparting excellent dielectric strength to the cable.

Silicone rubber PET braided cable maintains excellent flexibility and provides excellent mechanical protection. It also offers good friction reduction, high abrasion resistance, and excellent chemical resistance to transformer oil, light fuel oil, and most types of cleaning agents.


PVC: Made from polyvinyl chloride, PVC offers excellent chemical stability, corrosion resistance, high hardness, high strength, UV resistance (aging resistance), fire resistance (self-extinguishing), reliable insulation, a smooth surface, non-absorbent, non-deformable, and easy processing. Environmentally friendly PVC sheet is amorphous and has low moisture absorption. Due to its corrosive and fluid nature, it is best processed using specialized equipment and molds.


XLPE: Also known as cross-linked polyethylene, it offers the following advantages:


Heat resistance: XLPE's three-dimensional network structure offers excellent heat resistance.


Insulation: XLPE maintains the inherent excellent insulation properties of PE while further enhancing its insulation resistance.


Mechanical properties: Due to the creation of new chemical bonds between macromolecules, XLPE's hardness, stiffness, wear resistance, and impact resistance are all improved, compensating for PE's vulnerability to cracking due to environmental stress. Applications:
